Speech Progress 3
Tammy is still speaking very slowly, but she is progressing well. The speech is too long, so from tomorrow, we will start to cut out sentences and probably whole sections. I have been reluctant to do it, but we have to make sure there is something well rehearsed for the big night. She likes the nativity play better. I tell most of the story with Tammy handling the puppets and the dialogue. The puppets are dressed up toilet rolls and we found a pattern for the angels at Christmas Paper Angels, but today the website did not want to open!(?)

Tom Sawyer is a fairly easy read (we are using a large print version to help ease things) It's just that the writing style is old fashioned to kids. You should read it!
I love the metric system! It's easy to use, but it is used in a very small capacity here in the States.
And I don't have a clue about the grade levels for the Secret Unicorn or Hannah Montana books. I would guess that the Hannah Montana books are probably targeted toward the same age group as her show, which in my opinion would be from 8 to 13 years old.

You left a comment on my blog (about my 21 year old daughter). I looked at your profile and was delighted to see you are from South Africa. Almost 30 years my best friend was a South African exchange student. Terry was also a Christian and I've had a soft spot in my heart for her country ever since. In fact, my daughter was originally looking into going to Johannesburg to attend a missions school but God led her a different direction.
I am interested in your blog as a homeschool mom and also as a mom with a special needs child. Gabe is only 2 but we are already teaching him differently.
